235 75 15 tyres.......is there a definite answer as to whether these fit onto a jimny with a 3" lift?? I've read loads of posts on this forum across a wide time frame and every post seems to have conflicting info regarding fitment. My 195 80 15 muds are going to need changing in the not to distant future and I want a taller and wider tyre on my jimjam. Mine is an early 2005 model that has the bumper that features on earlier models with the fog lamps fitted, not the later bumper that hangs down lower and looks like its fitted with plastic vents. Will a 235 rub on full lock or catch when I'm doing mad stuff off road and clearing axle twister sections?
My head hurts......

Suppose it will depend on wheel offset, etc. But you could use spacers if required.
I have 215 80 15 Insa Turbo Saharas and they dont catch on the front but do rub on the rear at maximum flex or with people in the back when cornering.

I have 16" GV rims and 205/75/16 (tyres are about 32inches across) ... AND 32mm Wheel spacers and YES they DID rub some..... so out came the BFH.
I had to get the BFH on all the inner arches, seams, anything that was rubbing, there was also a slight 'rub' on the chassis rail under the headlamp - I've BFH'd that a bit and its better, but in an ideal world it would need cutting/shutting and re-welded back up.
I also have ProComp ES9000 shockers that restrict movement - and these work well.
I suppose the best way to find out is to 'borrow' a wheel/tyre (I did for mine) to see if they rub/catch and once you're happy-ish, you can go out and buy them for yourself.
HTH's?

I have 30x9.5 15 Malatesta Kobra which a tiny bit bigger and they fit perfect with 7 x 15 modulars -7 offset and no spacers. i had to trim the front edge of the front bumper slightly and remove the front part of the wheel arch liner, so i could still steer when the tyre is well up in the arch during articulation. They are no where near the inner arches or chassis. With standard wheels and spacers the tyre will stick out a little bit further and will need a little more arch trimming. The only issue you might find is your gearing will be way off, i found it bad enough on the 215's having to attack everything at speed so i didnt stall.

Would have been 265/75 r16 if they measured 32 inches across.
Im currently runing 205/80 r16 on gv rims, their about 29 inches across.r Just got a 2" body lift on so had to trim front bumper and arches a little at bottom.

I am running 235 75 15s MTs and had to trim the front arches on the lower corners to allow for steering lock.
That was fine for on road along with my 3" lift until I went off road. I was getting enough rubbing in the front arches to pull the inner liner fixings out and had to be carefull the rest of the day. I then fitted the 2" body lift I had in the garage and spot on now. No rubbing at all in the rear.
