ill be changing that seal aswell, will it still be ok to use the car with it like that until i get the parts?

Yes you should be fine to run it like that for a little while, nothing should fall off

I have recently done mine
Ran it for over a month... but it wasn't leaking as bad as your picture. The steering got progressively worse.
No need to spend any more than £10 a bearing. I used Timken bearings that were £8.
I replaced the pins too, but the old ones are fine and available for anyone who has damaged ones.
It takes a while to do the job... a couple of hours a side at a steady pace.
I did both sides, and would recommend to others to do the same

my mechanic mates thinks its just the swivel seal thats gone and that i just need to take it apart and put the new seal in and thats it? :S

there is no oil in behind there like a landrover has, so if its leaking oil then it has to be comming from the seal inside on the halfshaft between the diff and the hub it usually only leaks if the king pin bearings are on their way out, hope this makes sense.

Just believe us.
The kingpin bearings are always gone.
They come in two states:
Not fitted yet
Rusty as old iron and gone.
