Bugger... was created by viciouspenguin
I went to remove the propshaft today as the axle-end UJ needs replacing. While undoing the bolts there seemed to be an excessive amount of movement from the (sj) transfer case. On closer inspection the four bolts nearest the chassis rail (offside) were loose. Tightening them up seemed to do little to two of them. I can only presume that the threads have failed.
Is there going to be enough room to tap a new thread, and secondly who does cheap bucket mounts that will fit the SJ t-case to a jimny?

the best idea i can think of is getting it re-threaded, with a larger sized bolt. the other option is to replace the case, but that a last resort.
