engine swaps and good parts sites

Hi all.
I have just bought a V reg jimny which has had a baleno engine fitted.(diy) bellhousing holes
enlarged etc. the engine had run in the vehicle for over a year but gradualy killed off gears,I have bought it with no gearbox fitted etc.does anyone know of other engine gearbox combinations that
can be fitted i.e sj or vitara. also on another part of the site some one is selling a conversion plate that was designed to fit a 1.6 vitara engine to an sj would this correctly fit the baleno 1.6 to a standard 1.3
box.or does any one know of a site specialising in engine conversions/parts........

yes the conversion plate does fit baleno engine as well as the vit engine as they are pretty much the same engine

Umm, are you sure?

I thought the Baleno was an M series engine along with the later JImnys, whilst the Vit and SJ are G series engines like the early Jimnys.
