Feedback on Roof Cargo Bag?? was created by Fearghal Murphy
No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationHowya, just wondering if anyone here has experience or dealt with this type of roof storage system before ?? I always have stuff to move around and i travel a fair bit so i will definitely have to implement some sort of storage anyway !! Any info is much appreciated, thanks !!

I dont have a "soft case" roof box like the one your looking at but i do have a hard one -

Honest opinion - quite handy and worth getting for long trips. It doesnt really affect the fuel consumption and only affects the handling a little on the motorway. I drove from wiltshire to the lake district on it first run, fully loaded and the fuel consumption was the same as normal use. Ive found that it does whistle at 60 - 70mph, but it means either driving a little slower (or faster) or just turning up the cd player.

I got mine in Halfords during a sale, and got one so big so that if needs be i could chuck my brush cutter in. I did look at the soft case ones, but decided against due to security (a stanley knife through the sides wouldnt be too difficult), the sizes available are a bit limited and that when not fully packed, unless its strapped down like a cargo ship, the material will flap in the wind. (plus the one i went for was really cheap, and with a black truck, it looks quite good).

As for storage, a couple of ladder hooks on the back of my shed and also in the garage, means it can be hung up out of the way.

Cant comment on the soft ones, but its a definate big help for me when im off camping as all the light stuff goes in the roof box, leaving the back of the truck free for all those heavy crates ;-)

l quit like the roof cargo bag it look well made and at least you can remove it from the roof and fold it up and store it in the back of your jimny.
Try doing that with a roof box
