Its bad news, you cannot adjust the mixture on an injected M31A engine. The ECU, sensors and injectors etc. are all supposed to put exactly the correct amount of fuel in at all times, there is no proper manual override.
There is a CO2 mixture adjuster on some models but most use the heated Oxygen sensors to balance everything. If it is running rich then it should give a "P0172 Mixture too rich" diagnostic warning which is then listed as being one or more of the following:
• Vacuum leaks (air drawn in).
• Exhaust gas leakage.
• Heated oxygen sensor-1 circuit malfunction.
• Fuel pressure out of specification.
• Fuel injector malfunction (clogged or leakage).
• MAP sensor poor performance.
• ECT sensor poor performance.
• IAT sensor poor performance.
• TP sensor poor performance.
• EVAP control system malfunction.
• PCV valve malfunction.

Jimny fixed - back from the garage ... it was the Lambda Sensor ...
local garage made several attempts to get me an after-market sensor but no joy! So it was from Suzuki-Stealer ... Doh!! So, I have to work harder this month... or spend less!!
All sorted now - i need to road-test the MPG ... but no way will it be any worse than the 10mpg i was getting before!!
