My suspension is very soft and bouncy, maybe a bit too bouncy... would this be because of the springs or shockers?

The shocks would be what is causing that. If it wasn't doing that before, then the shocks are on their way out. If its been like that since the beginning then the shocks were just a soft pair. Upgrading to stiffer ones would fix that
