Cheers for the replies.
My mind was pretty much made up anyway, but I wanted confirmation.
I will be calling Dave in a few weeks and getting a shopping list together.

Well I couldn't resist .. Dave @ Bits 4 Vits had a sale on so I am now the owner of a +2" body lift kit ..
Need to order some extended brake hoses and get around to doing it (any offers of assistance greatly received)
Do I need to extend the Fuel filler ?
I might take a chance with the gear lever .. is it worth getting a bits 4 vits steering adapter ?

Jason,
Even more kindly than that, Dave has passed on the right to the kit to me as his sale is an "end-of-line" sale for Jimny parts. He has also given over the Jimny Hub Tools. Therefore both will be appearing here soon.
In the meantime I would be really interested in how the kit fits, including detailed photographs as I want to include it in one of my guides (perhaps you should come over and fit it here??)
You see there is also another back story to this....
..someone else saw the body lift kits for sale and thought they could fit one to their Jimny as part of a trial of the product. However they failed to think first and only once the kit arrived did it dawn on them that you cannot body lift a car with a full rollcage thats welded to the chassis!! - think about it!.
I wonder who that idiot was? Anyone want a body lift kit?
