How level is level ground? was created by Municipal Waste
My driveway is a little bit sloping... Maybe about 5 - 10 degrees. Is that going to be safe for working under the car? :S

Do you mean side to side or front to rear?

I would have thought so if you're careful.
Chocking wheels etc. If lifted on axle stands, give it a little/gentle nudge, you'll know by feel if it's ok or not.
Just please be careful.
Crikey, I sound like a Dad!

That's not as bad then.
If on axle stands, which it ought to be if working underneath it, the uphill stands could be on hole 2 and the downhill stands could be on hole 3 or 4. That should make the vehicle as near as dammit level, if you get my meaning.

If you're only jacking one end up, make sure the wheels on the ground are securely chocked.

A thing I always tend to do is when jacked/axle stood with wheel(s) off is to put one of the wheels under the vehicle then if it should fall whilst you're under it, hopefully the wheel will give you some 'breathing space'. i.e. stop you getting crushed.

Stick a 3" suspension lift and 2" body lift on it, then you dont need to jack it up! lol

you could always put an annoying neighbour under the wheels at the bottom of the drive :side:
