speed=power=torque=up big things

if your just after a bit of noise then a cheap backbox off ebay will do.. Or stab a few holes into your current back box :silly:

The best way to get the most ponies from the exhaust system is to, put i set of 2" extractors (headers) on, replace the factory cat with a 2" inch hi-flow cat, as the cat is probably the biggest restriction on the exhaust, then a nice free flowing, 2" mandreal bent exhaust the rest of the way with a 2" straight though muffler( or back box). I would not go any bigger than 2" on the standard 1.3 as they may not be enough back pressure and there fore may cause you to lose power

cheers everybody for the help on this but i think the title (performance exhaust ) may have been a little miss leading. i was just after a nice rummble.
i wouldnt want to start getting to the point of needing to remap the ecu just for a few extra bhp, at the end of the day its only a 1.3 and jimny prob not the most stable thing to be going fast in lol.

An exhaust change won't usually need a remap, unless you change the shape of the torque curve then the ECU will adjust to suit.

Some Suzukis and a bunch of motorcycles.
