G13BB is the Cambelt engine, part no ADK87305

www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m30b885s3015p45780

M13AA is the chain driven engine, no replacement required

Look on the VIN plate, if your VIN Number has JB33 in it then its a G13BB engine, if it has JB43 in it then is an M13AA engine.

And take a look at the engine...if it looks like this then its an M13AA

Thanks for your prompt reply Martin

Checked out JB33 elastic band I fear.

Price on that site is not bad having paid considerably more on other cars.

Have you ever fitted one?

Can it be done with Rad in situ

Easier to take the rad out, comes out very easily, theres a drain plug on the o/s bottom of the radiator, undo the hoses, undo 2 screws at the top and wiggle it out. remove viscous fan - pig if i remember, then remove the alternator and PS pump belts, cover off, new belt on and refitting is the reverse, just remember to put some anti- freeze in. my belt was £14 if i remember rightly.

Yeah its great mostof the time, but i find my jobs always get pushed to the back of the queue when hehas other work in, I have a TD5 discovery too, and its been in time and again for a slow puncture, 3 years its been like that... had to fix it myself in the end, and then my mate confessed he knew it had a little screw in it but he'd always been too busy.
BUT, it was great when i built up my latest jimny, i had a part built challenge truck project pick up thing on 33's and a std jimny hardtop next to each other at mates garage inside, and swapped all the parts over (axles/engine/box/rocklobster t case/locker/rear disc kit etc) and got it ready for its MOT, total cost £34 lol B)
