Jimny front discs was created by kangooman
Hi
Could you tell me if there are different discs for the later Jimny (mines a 2007).
I went to replace the discs and pads today, but the discs would not go over the hub.
I've looked online to see if there different sizes but as far as I can see all Jimnys have the same size discs.
The centre hole in the new discs are 107mm, but like a donkey I didn't measure the old disc center hole.
I've cleaned all the hub etc, but no way will the new disc fit.

Cheers
Richard

im sure they are all the same.

the disc is a tight fit i used a rubber mallet to gently tap it into place so it sits flush

I can confirm that the center hole in my disc is 108.5mm hence the new discs wont fit being 107mm.
it was bugging me so much I just went out and whipped the disc off again :P

I bet I'll have to fit genuine discs knowing my luck

They are different sizes.

Early Jimny discs up to VIN 203804 have 107mm diameter holes.

From VIN 203804 onwards the holes are 108.3 mm

Therefore a new series disc will fit an old car, but an old series disc will not fit a new car.

get someone with a big lathe to bore them out to 108.5mm, or turn your hubs down to 107mm. (might cause a problem with OE alloy wheels though, they may locate on the centre)

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

ADL-Blueprint list them

Earlier 107mm disks - adk84305
Later 108.3 mm disks - adk84325

All sorted today thanks to you guys.
A nice new set of adk84325 blueprint discs and were back on the road.

They don't make things like they used to do they? My Jimny is 3yrs 4 mths old and only done 9500 miles and here I am changing discs. They probably rusted because the jeep sits outside my house doing nothing for most of its life.

I Bought it at 10 mths old with only 1900 miles on the clock, so its had an easy life.

Thanks again for your help.

Cheers
Richard
