to use the winch you take off the rear number plate
I think it is based on a tow bar with plates welded on to form a floor and sides and reinforcing square tube at the back to take the weight of the winch
also a recovery hook and shackles welded on for rear recovery points

Cheers chaps. I had seen the foreign one and it looks good. I wondered about using the tow bar or at least its mounting points for the rear of the tray but the front would need mounting. I think it would need mounting in 4 corners due to the forces concerned that could otherwise twist it.
I can't afford another winch and rope now but will show these piccies to my fabrication guru mate and together we shall come up with something using ideas from here and there and when that day finally comes ill post piccies!
Thanks again.

The chassis already has the holes to bolt the the one above in place.
That is how I have mounted the rear bumper I made for mine. Can be pulled off the truck in minutes if needed. Just weldd nuts in place before slotting into chassis legs.
I can't remember what site the one above is on, I am sure it's Finnish or Swiss.
