Thanks for the replys guy's, think I'll see about a 4x4 mechanic from now on.

Think I've finally got it sorted, took the bent Panhard rod out, stood on it and it nearly went back into shape, got a stright piece of timber and used that as a guide.
Nearly got it 100% from beating it, but to be sure I decided to weld a little bit of box section on top of the rod.
This ment I could spot weld both ends, then clamp the middle where it was slightly off and then a little spot weld on there too. To finish it off I welded across the whole way across and under.

The first thing I noticed on test drive was the car seemed to sit planted to the road more, nearly like stiffer.
Steering wheel is sitting in the correct position now and there is less/no play in the steering.

Before the bar was straightened the car would dance over the road if it hit a bump or crack, and on motorway if you did 45-50 it would do the "Death wobble" and try put you in a hedge.

I was very nervous on the test drive, very! Had a very scary experience the day before.
Got the balls to do 56-57mph or so down a country road, lots of holes etc...Felt 100% no death wobble at all.

Got to near 60mph and felt a slight jutter, not sure if it was road or not, but I chickened out of any faster as the thought of death wobble at more than 60 was too scary!

But all in all it's 100% better, just a funny screaching noise on passanger front wheel :( comes and goes, if you slow down to about 30 it goes away. Sounds like the brake pads are on the metal.
The best way to describe the sound is if you hold the key on too long and you hear the starter motor crunching, thats exactly what it sounds like! Everything is tight in front end, no play or movement in anything and there is no sound of a rumbley bearing or anything!

Hopefully it won't be much.

I have pictures to post later of the tidy welding job! :)

Thanks guy's, J
