hi all,
having a problem with my jimny when i engage 4x4, it says its in 4x4 but isnt as i struggle to get up little hills, it was all fine till i rolled it a few weeks back but now i carnt seem to go many places any had this problem or recommend anything??? was thinking about the rocklobster box?

could be front half shaft or cv joint

we broke our front halfshaft and had the same problem as you on a hill I had got up easily earlier in the day

assuming thats what it is

halfshafts aren't too bad second hand £40-£50
cv joints are about £50-£60 new

have you still got the standard vacume fwh's fitted ???

maybe they are not engaging due to a leak on the pipes or they are stuck
