Hi,

in your list of mods you mention you plan to fit a second battery in the back of your Jimny because of lack of space under the bonnet. I have a second battery fitted under the bonnet. Its actually a Landrover Discovery battery so bigger than the Jimny one, but I made up a bracket and mounted it on the passeger side, just behind the washer bottle resevoir. There is jus enough room to get it in. Unfortunately I don't have any photo's but will try and send you some.

Hi and welcome to "Big Jimny"

The large battery I have fouls the bonnet when mounted where the washer bottle is. I have move the washer bottle back and fitted the winch solenoids into place under the bonnet.

The battery has then gone into the boot with a long cable run (voltage drop :( :( ) to the front. But its very heavy duty cable so hopefully the losses are minimised.
