Jimny Found and Stripped was created by Fieldsports
Well I know these Jimny bits can be hard to find so after phoning all over I found a COMPLETE one in a Breakers yard.
It was on a V plate with a genuine 21 thou on it.
I could not but the full car as the elderly owner had passed away and his wife drove it in on the stipulation it would never leave the yard.
She thought it would be upsetting for her to see her husbands Jimny back on the road.
Well I hit lucky I have stripped the lot so I am over the moon to be able to say I have spares.
This has a few more bits missing than showing in the photo's as I have been back today to finish it off.
I hit on extra lucky as it is even the same colour as mine
The interior is my old one that was not that good, I swapped it for the good one ages ago.
If anyone wants to know the yard that it is in let me know and I will tell you if the bit you need is on it still.
I have engine, box, transfer box, all props, diffs, halfshafts, plastics bonnet and all the other straight panels that was on it, door motors ( windows and locks ), lock set with keys, air bags, ECU and all moduals. Radiator and heater matrix, mirrors, lights, power steering unit, etc..etc..
Found in Hexham Northumberland. The Yard owner is great to deal with and is not silly with prices at all.

I know mate, it was on the road as well.
I was gutted to have to break it but that was the deal.
Believe it or not this stood for about a year untouched before I found it.
I thought the Suzuki lads would of beat me to it like they normally do.
I am pleased to have the opportunity to own the parts but what a shame for the little car.

I would rather keep them mate incase I break one at some time.
I know they are not readily available so its best not to part with them.
Thanks Steve

Naah. Sorry.
I Only posted originally as I was proud of the fact I had the opportunity to break a full one.
I am too scared to part with bits incase I need them myself.
If I decide otherwise I will let you know.
Thanks Steve

Thanks, And sorry to decline on your offer to buy from my "Bits Collection"
I will honestly say this though !
These Jimnys are ( Supposed not to rot like the Disco's ).
Well take their clothes off like I have done on this one.
Strip them down and then you see the rot points !
And take into account this one had only 21 Thou on it.
The plastics are sh1t traps end of story... that encourage rot in places that would not happen if the plastics were removed.
Like I say they look good with their plastics on !
But like many women ( Take there clothes off and what a fright you get )
They are not as bad as disco's for rot but what owners see and what owners do not see that's covered with plastic dressing is another thing.
Anyway Thanks mate Steve

That Jimny was on a V 99 plate which was not galvanised, jimnys after 2001 i believe are galvanised. My 2002 battered jimny 40k had all its colthes on, i've currently stripped it and there is barely a spot of rust, all the inner sills are full of mud, the plastics were hanging off due to the weight of mud! all wet rust traps.

I am not arguing bud !
I am saying that most people make the statement that "Jimnys do not rot"
Then taking into account what you say they should say mine is over a 2001 as the rest will rot their fanny off.
having said that Disco's on a 2001 are not shocking either !
I am not arguing I am simply saying that like all steel they will shit their pants after a while.
mine is in a S plate.
Yea it needs welding ( I will do this when the weather warms and I can complete it in a swift swoop of a days work ).
Back floor member either side of the body mounting ! where the shit flicks up off the wheel. ( I am not worried as I can do this blindfolded by my underpants )
BUT now I have more inside info as I have taken one down to its skeleton so maybe when a member asks " I am buying a Jimny is there anything I should know " I can answer what year is it on mate and yes their is some things you should know."
.............Thanks Steve

I wish I had your luck in finding a jimny to strip! Makes me think of adding security stuff to mine considering the prices of parts quoted by scrappys and the price and demand for uprated parts. Once i've killed mine or get bored of it, maybe that will be getting stripped outside my house. I'm going to leave off my plastic sill covers as these I believe will cause problems in the near future as they are difficult to clean out, as my jimny is just for driving to and from P'n'Play days.
