Michael,

I have had a look around and cannot identify who the original manufacturer of the Jimny Diesel engine is (You quite often find it is Peugeo, Isuzu or Mazda). I would guess its quite a major undertaking with the variety of electronics and ECUs wrapped around your car and any new diesel engine. Perhaps an old, non-computerised diesel would fit?

I have Recaro bucket seats in mine which appear to be fitted to the standard Jimny sub-frames (I did not fit them so cannot be exact).

The previous owner fitted a rear winch to mine and fitted it inside. However the cut-outs he had to put in the rear panel for the cable exits let water in. I would look for a tow hitch and use a demountable tow hitch winch with Anderson connectors for the power connection.
