Manual Front hubs. was created by Mert1
Hi, I have a Gen 3 2016 Jimny on which I have fitted  AVH manual hubs. I had an older Jimny on which I also fitted manual hubs.  On neither of them did I ever solve the problem of the dashboard lights for 4x4 and L4x4 flashing. ( I have only recently put the manual hubs on the 2016 Jimny after the vacuum system failed again.) I have watched loads of videos and have followed the instructions about what to do to fix this annoying problem. Now when driving the warning lights come on after I have been driving for a few minutes and continue to flash. I have connected the wires together to short out the system to make it think it is OK and even soldered the wires to make sure I get a good connection but nothing works. I was beginning to think I was on the wrong wires but I am not.
Doers anyone have a sure fire way of solving this problem.
Mert1.

Is it definitely the vacuum system that has failed and not the actuator on the transfer case? That can also cause the light to flash.

Thanks for your reply. It is definitely the vacuum system that has failed. Everything works properly but the lights flash when put into 4 wheel drive or low ratio 4 wheel drive. The joining the wires to fool the system does not work.
