lt looks like Gen 4 Jimny SZ5 prices are finally coming down, there's quite a few at £20,000 or less now.
Six months ago you'd have needed £23,000+ to get one.
Few vehicles are still worth their list price six years down the road but the Jimny still qualifies.

The imports are driving down the Used SZ4/5/ LCV prices. Also the original UK cars are getting older now and more worn around the edges (except for Gerald my pristine SZ5). We can't complain though because as you said not many cars can achieve what the jimny has done and retained its value if you bought the original car at list price.

After having bought two Jimny's as new cars and used them as daily drivers for seven years, I have often wondered when a 'market correction' would occur. As Martin has indicated, imports seem to have increased and the 'rare as hen's teeth' factor is disappearing. After those seven years motoring, my original capital outlay has resulted in getting my money back from two trade sales - with the value of the SZ5 being better than the LCV. If Suzuki UK could have supplied a new Jimmy, I'd have made it three Jimny's in a row but they have chosen to exit the market. I am now a former Suzuki customer, loved the product and those 7 years motoring were near enough free - other than filling the tank with 'go juice' and an annual service. Great cars, great memories and great reliability.

How much of this softening is seasonal though? A 4x4 is never quite as sought after in the nice weather, there's every chance it will rebound when the temperature drops and snow is forecast.

Meanwhile, in Norway:
www.finn.no/mobility/item/461415620
629 000 Norwegian krone equals
50 273,60 British pound
Asking price down from 695000 NOK.
A normal Jimny here would be around 450000 but there is just the 12 of them in total 2018 and newer.

With only 12 in country one could argue that a jimny is a collector car really and therfore subject to different market forces. I would suggest that over here they're sufficiently common that if you want one you are buying it as a car rather than an investment, by that I mean buying it because you want or need one rather than just because it might not depreciate or maybe possibly appreciate while in your ownership. I know i bought all my jimny variously because they were the best tool for what I needed, that they have wormed themselves under my skin to the degree that they have and I wouldn't be without one is secondary
