Change wheels GEN4 to GEN5

Change wheels GEN4 to GEN5 was created by 4x4
I changed the steel wheels on my 2016 SZ3 to steel wheels and tyres from a 2022 GEN 5. Basically because I could get nearly new tyres and wheels for less than the price of the tyres. As usual someone had upgraded their steel wheels to alloys (even though the steel wheels look much better). See my other post regarding TPMS (no problems). Also, the ride is improved owing to the higher profile tyres absorbing bumps. The vehicle sits about an inch higher and the wheels fill the wheel arches much better. Very pleased with the change.

The wheels on a 2016 SZ3 (Gen 3) are the same as a 2018 - onwards SZ5 (Gen 4), they are both 15”, 5.5” wide. This is true unless you are in Japan where 16” wheels are sometimes supplied.
My 2020 SZ5 has SZ5 alloys and I had an older set of alloys from a 2012 SZ3 which I fitted Special Track tyres for off-road competitions. Both wheels go straight on.
When you say the car is 1” higher is that because you have fitted 16” wheels or just wheels with very chunky tyres?

I think you mean Gen 3 to Gen 4. We haven't got a Gen 5 yet

Yes, fitted 16 inch wheels. Actually GEN3 to 4, my mistake.
