Just watched an episode of Bangers and Cash and one car proved an interest. It was an immaculate SJ410 with a reserve of £11,000. After a hectic few minutes the hammer dropped on £19,000.
Makes me wonder what my 2020 Gen.4 SZ5 would fetch?

Sounds like the white commercial hard top one that sold last year. It was well advertised before the auction as being one of the best ones. I watched the live auction online. I think they got lucky to get 19k for it but it shows what SJs can fetch if the right one comes up. SJs are classics now. They hit rock bottom a several years ago but they are becoming that car of where did they go and any good ones left are being snapped up. As for the newer Jimnys who knows. With the automotive world going in a direction that no one really wants then perhaps Jimny prices will stay firm. I recently paid up for a 2018 Gen 3 which was more than it was brand new back in 2018 but that's the way the market is for that generation of Jimny. As the older ones rot and get scrapped gradually they are thinning out and at some point those will become the where did they go car and the good ones left will get good money. I guess the same would go for the Gen 4.

2020 blue SZ5 (one of the last to be registered in the UK)
Ex 2011 Blue Jimny SZ4

I paid more for my 2020 SZ5 than when it was new 2 years ago. According to the ‘insurance companies estimated value’ it hasn’t lost much either.
But it’s academic, I am not selling or buying another anytime soon.

Norway 2005 Jimny M16A VVT, 235 Cooper Disco, 2" Trailmaster, ARB rear lck.
Bangers and cash is one of the shows I miss after quitting the linear TV.
Mobile.de is a german european sales page and show the price level down there.
German SJ prices have been tall for years allready.
I have seen SJ's up at around 10000€ here in Norway too but they are far between. Most around 5000€
My SJ 410 is a dump and was a non MOT non runner but still at the time 1000€ for it was cheap, but not a robbery.
Now four years later I must say i made a good deal.
Edit: Not sure if would have gotten all the money back i spent on parts on it if I sold it. But i am having a great time doing it up, loving it!
