Whatcha. I'm potentially bored of the at5's I have on now and I'm thinking about wormdrives. First off fitting wise do they balance up easily?
How do they cope with exuberant cornering?
Beyond obviously driving to the conditions do they notice rain particularly badly?
Are there any problems with them if you have a trailer on?
What do they wear like, how many miles to say 5mm tread from new?

Thank you for your cooperation.

-No problem balancing IMO. I VMAX'd my SZ5 plenty of times on them.

-Cornering too I thought was very good. You can sort of "feel" the tread moving about a bit more, but I don't see how you can avoid this if you want a more aggressive AT (or MT).

I'm sure some Jimny's get driven harder than mine, but I did like to "enjoy" it and on occasion drove it somewhat like a sports car, although not to the point of sliding all over the road.

-Again, never had an issue in the rain with them. They felt planted and as good as the original factory road tyres.

-Have towed a caravan a bit, also have Wormdrives on my Ninety which has also towed a caravan, never noticed any issues.

-I did wear a set out, although they still had some life in them tbh. But used it as an excuse to upgrade to a bigger size. I can't recall how many miles I did, although it is in my main thread (in sig).

Overall I've been very impressed with them. My brother had KO2's and I'd say they were equally as good (maybe better in some areas). The KO2's in my opinion probably lasted longer, but cost significantly more. Miles per £ probably wasn't so hugely different.

I have Toyo AT3's on the Freelander, which seem fine and might be a better snow tyre (not had chance to try them), but the Maxxis is much better in the mud and no worse on the road IMO.

Normally I've always run MT's, but the Wormdrives convinced me of the benefits of an AT for a vehicle that sees a lot of road miles.

They were comfortable, quiet, worked in all conditions, rode well and much better off road than I thought they should have been. Priced very well too, I also like the raised white lettering, although this is only one side, so you don't have to have it showing if you don't want.

I liked them on the Jimny so much that I bought the set for the Ninety and then when I wanted to replace the Jimny tyres and upsize, I couldn't see anything any better to go for, and despite part of me wanting some KM3 Mud Terrains, it just made way more sense to get another set of Wormdrives.
