Hi all, I’m trying to find the correct catalytic converter for my 2000 X-reg Jimny. I’ve ordered two on eBay so far; one didn’t have the hole for the O2 sensor, so I’m returning that. The second one I’ve ordered seems to be shorter than the other one.

EBay is confused as to which ones fit my car, according to eBay my car is a 2001 model, which it isn’t. So I’m struggling to be sure which is the right one to use, and don’t want to go to all the effort of getting the old one out, potentially damaging it, only to find the new one doesn’t fit.

Can anyone advise which kind of pipe I should get for my car? Thanks!

I can't give you a correct part number but whilst suzuki did change the exhaust at various stages it's entirely reasonable that you don't have a completely original system fitted. That's a long way of saying it might be easier to fit a whole system from one supplier then at least it will fit with itself even if it isn't exactly what was there originally.

Try using your local motor factors. They will be able to find the correct part and should also supply a quality part. I've found with eBay stuff there often aren't enough cats in the converter and they don't pass MOT emissions tests.
