Now "used on a private estate" could mean it was used in a salt mine ! ( There were the notorious EuroTunnel Jimnys a few years back that had never been on the roads, but of course spent their entire life underground in dripping salt water.) so as always it's "be careful"

With Jimnys it's always been a case of buying on condition rather than age or mileage. The changes over the 20 years of production were minor, and I'd argue the best cars were pre-2005. Genuinely tidy cars are few and far between but I've seen a couple of rust free, low mileage and garaged 20 year old Jimnys come on the market in the past year or so. They were much less money than those ones you are looking at!
