Headlamp adjustment?

Headlamp adjustment? was created by Mike787
The time has come for us to start using the headlamps on the Gen 4 we bought in April. The wife has had the pleasure and says she has had a lot of drivers flashing her as she uses it. I see there is no headlamp levelling adjustment switch fitted on the vehicle and she assures me she is not driving with full beam activated. No heavy load carried.
It has a valid MOT and we have to assume the beams are correct. Is this normal for other users to be flashing Jimny drivers or is there a 'fix' and to remain within the law? We don't want to be driving around and cause annoyance to other road users, but if there is nothing wrong, then there is nothing we have to do. The car does ride higher than many other vehicles and the wife says the lights are a superb brilliance and when she does flash the headlights in response, there is an even bigger difference.
Is this just life with a Jimny?

There are two adjusters on the rear of the headlamps and a load based adjuster on the rear differential.

You can see me doing the adjusting in this video of the older gen3 Jimny. The setup is the same on the new Jimny.

The load based adjuster on the rear diff should not need adjusting

Thanks for the video Martin. I will have a look tomorrow to verify there is no motor. Because there is no adjustment knob in the car, it must be the manual adjustment that is required. What height do you set the horizontal line at on your leveller? Also at what distance from the garage door do you position the car to adjust the beam down? I still find this odd, as surely the car would not have passed its MOT if the beams have not been set correctly. I'd hate to adjust them so they are too low and would go on to fail the MOT next time it is presented in March.

The problem is that LED headlights, whilst providing excellent lighting do tend to cause dazzle.

I had exactly the same problem, so just angled them down a bit until they don’t dazzle drivers but still provide a good beam.

I adjusted them against a wall, then a road test on a quiet road and made further adjustments until it seemed about right, it took two or three attempts until I was happy, but don’t get anyone flashing at me, yet the lights still perform better than most other cars I have driven recently.

My JB74 LED headlights in "auto" mode work better than my Audi's LED Matrix. Stunning, really.

Low beam has been adjusted to be low, as @DrRobin did.

High beam is unbeatable with this IPF setup, fitted with H3 LEDs from Auxito.

I had the same issue in 2019 when I bought mine, I had the Suzuki dealer check them when it went in for its 2000 mile checkup. They said they were right at the top of the chart so the turned them down slightly and the flashing stopped. If you bought it new take it back to the dealer. If they are set too low, nighttime driving is no fun.
