Before making adjustments, make sure the automatic height adjustment is working, it could be stuck in the low position

If yours aren't very good then there might be something wrong. Also are you sure you have the LED headlights? I believe lower spec models have halogen lights, which I've not used, but should still be perfectly adequate based on having driven loads and loads of vehicles with halogen headlights.
What country are you in? And what sort of scenery/terrain are you driving in?
Like also mentioned above, I also wanted more distance, so not necessarily brighter. I fitted some small LED lamps and a light bar designed for throw rather than flood.
If you are in big open spaces, then you may want more flood, but here in the UK roads are not so big, so I didn't want loads of light to the side of vehicle.
Here is my Jimny with just the factory LED headlights on mainbeam:
Here is a quick driving video which also shows how good the LED lights are:
If you do want an aux light-bar, there are many many options. I'd recommend being mindful of build quality, many cheap ones can get water in or the fixings rust. Also be mindful of the LED colour temps, high k values over 6000k tend to give very harsh blue white light out, which is more taxing on the eyes and tends to make greens & browns appear more greyish. A warmer tint is generally preferable.
Also if it is distance you are after, don't fixate on Lumen output. Lumens are a bit like engine torque, good, but not the be all and end all. With an engine you want Horse Power too and low torque can still produce good Horse Power. With lights you'll want a higher Lux reading and usually they come with lower Lumen outputs. so do check all the specs.
I went with some Osram LED units, which I've been very pleased with. Although tech is moving quickly, so only use these as a starting point when looking.

I have to agree with everyone else, the standard Jimny LED headlights are simply brilliant. IMO they are the best factory headlights I've ever driven with and also better than any aftermarket upgrades I've done. Thanks everyone for the input. Guess its probably the lights werent adjusted properly from factory. I did notice the adjustment screws on the headlight units. Any idea if i can adjust from this or do i need to do something with the headlight level thingamagic as well? (My car is still on stock sus and tyres)
Thanks!

yeah, am pretty sure mine came with LED projectors lol. Am from Sabah, north borneo. the outskirts roads are pretty much pitch black at night.
Will try to adjust the lights manually, maybe it was too low from factory. hope all goes well.
Thanks for the input!
