Reflections from Instrument Cluster (2023)

So today on my way to work with this topic fresh in my head I did notice that the two dials do produce a lot of glare to the point of looking like they are flashing. I was wearing glasses but could still see the same without. The sun on my way to work is usually blinding meaning I'm often using the sun visor. On my way home though I didn't even think about the glare so never noticed but I can see what you're talking about. 

I was in my five door this afternoon, installing a screen protector on the infotainment system, and because I was in the passenger seat and looking at the instrument panel at an angle, I could see how reflective it was, I remembered this discussion and got behind the wheel to "investigate"

On my Jimnys, both three & five door, the lenses are not convex, they are for the most part flat, with a very shallow curve (making them slightly concave) near the outer edges, they are also angled inwards or towards one another.

To be able to see my eyeballs (or my glasses), I had to sit directly in front of the instruments and so close to them that I would be unable to drive.
