Apologies if this has been done but I can’t seem to find a straight answer. I’ve got a stock 2015 gen 3 jimny and looking to upgrade the wheels. I was looking to buy some steel rims 15x7 ET0 with some 205’s 70R/15. Just wondering if these would fit comfortably without any rubbing? I’ve read mixed reviews on the facelift model.
also seen a few people online say the 205 won’t be a good fit for that rim and that the 215 is better? Any advice is appreciated
cheers guys😅

The wheels will fit but they are going to be plenty wide enough for the 205 tyres. All manufacturers have lists of approved fitments for each size and model of tyre they make including the ones you intend to use, don't just rely on the general rule of thumb information on many Internet sites as they are often related to lower profile car tyres.

Thanks lambert. Do you think a 15x6 rim would look better with a 205?

As Lambert says, all tyre makers have guides to rim sizes for their rims, although sometimes are hard to find, as most of the tyre companies websites are terrible for info.
I can't see 205/70R15 specs on the tyre makers sites I normally use, this site suggests it should be ok:
www.1010tires.com/Tools/Tire-size-calcul...RLcjOTUJ3_0ruW2fxNMb
But I'd have guessed it would look very stretched on.a 7" rim. But might not be too bad, 205 x 16 which is similar but 16" would have been fitted to a 6.5" steel Land Rover rim from the factory.
Good luck trying to find narrow steel rims for the Jimny aftermarket. There are some alloy options if you want to spend lots, but I couldn't find anything less than 7" wide.
