Hi - looking for some confirmation if possible please. Had a few days away, and broke a few bits! 1 part is the anti roll bar, this is now bent. I am considering trying it with the bar removed, so, my question is, do I need to have extended brake lines as I have a 2" lift? The rears have been fine on the original pipes, but wonder if the additional travel from removing the bar will cause some damage? Cheers

I have driven without the ARB on a SJ, not comparable I know. But still with that experience I will never do that again. I had lotsa mods on it and one thing can work on one car but with your tyres, your lift, your weight, your speed, it can be different.
The car can behave a bit unpredictable especially if loaded with a bit of weight, pulling a trailer, doing a swerve to avoid a sudden moose..
It can be OK going slow, but different at speed.
Be sure to test it in a safe environment.
I would not do it, and definitely not recommend it, but several people in here say it is ok.

I have thought about it, and just going to replace it. I tow my camping trailer, and don't often get stuck on the lanes I do, so going to play safe. Cheers

I don't have a lift so my center of gravity is lower but on my old factory suspension I ran for nearly a year without the anti roll bar and couldn't really see enough difference to rush to replace it but when I put the koni on and set them soft I reverted back to it. I can imagine that with a higher center of gravity it would be much more interesting with no arb.

You can drive many, many miles and never experience anything that would make you realize the bar isn't there, especially if you don't know what you're "supposed to feel", but I guarantee a sudden swerve for any reason will reveal that it's not there.
Try a quick right-left-right swerve at around 30 mph or so, both with & without and I'll bet you notice the difference.

Me and a good friend was on our way to a Offroad meet southeast in Norway in my lifted SJ on 31's and soft OME-leafs and the wrong shock absorbers.
Packed with gear, spare parts and stuff doing 100kmt on the highway and out of the blue the car got violent body rolls but still went more or less straight. Managed to slow down to 80kmt and it settled. Thought about it for a bit and remembered I was on an event some months before and had removed the sway bar.
Called a friend a few miles south of us and had him find a roll bar for me for the return trip.
He was shocked to hear I had it up to those speeds so you can say that doing 100kmt or maybe even more was a bad idea.
Thankful I did not kill my friend that day.
On the return trip the car all beat up from the offroad but now with the sway bar it was steady and straight as an arrow.
Not doing that again.
