My Jimny came fitted with the factory detachable tow bar and when the swan neck is not fitted the hole is covered up with a rectangular plastic blanking plate, you can see it in the photo below.
Does any know if you can buy this plastic cover on it's own, I lost mine somewhere in the mud yesterday and the chances of finding it are zero, even if it is in one piece.
If not I will have to make one as the hole looks a mess and it will fill up with gunk, then the tow bar won't go in.

I might be about to answer my own question, but I found a part for a Vitara that looks the same.
simssuzukiparts.co.uk/products/new-genui...over-99000-990yv-a02
The part is 99000-990YV-A02, anyone know if the genuine tow bar is the same on the Vitara as the Jimny?
If not I might just buy one, they are only £5.

I purchased it via a Suzuki dealer. The price was around 3 EUR. In the evening, I can look at home for the item code.

Thanks Gatisk. I looked very carefully at the Vitara tow bar and the Jimny, they all seem to use the same size detachable tow bar swan neck and fixing, but the lengths and tow bar fixings do vary, so the cover looks to be the same across the whole range.
I have a cross country trek this weekend and don't want the tow bar hole to fill up with muck so ordered one of the Vitara covers, if by some chance it doesn't fit, I will just modify it to suit.

The Vitara tow bar blanking cover arrived from Simm Suzuki, it’s a perfect fit for the Jimny.
