Hi just joined, first post
I am interested in buying a Jimny Adventure which is immaculate condition, 2013 with low mileage. It is being sold by a UK dealer who imports from Japan. All the paperwork looks good and it is registered with the DVLA.
i cant really see any reason not to proceed ....does anyone have a view/advice?

Is it a 660cc turbocharged engine?

Is it black and on Autotrader?

There is nothing wrong with the smaller engine apart from the fact that it was never sold here so engine spares might have to be imported and it’s down on power, 64HP rather than 83HP for the 1,300.

I guess it depends what you want to use it for, I always thought my 2011 Gen3 was a little underpowered.

Insurance and tax is slightly higher but not much. The main parts of the car will be available without problem and even parts of the 600cc version can be obtained.

I am putting your together a video on JDM and importing this week by coincidence.

In Japan, if I understand correctly, a kei is significantly cheaper to run than a standard car because of lower taxes and fees. So it is a popular choice there.

But what is the advantage to having one elsewhere? Particularly when it is if anything more expensive to run in the UK than a standard Jimny?

I don't mean to offend with the questions, I am genuinely curious.  If it is popular enough that Martin's making a whole how-to video about it, there must be some appeal.
