Hello.
Could someone recommend welding and body repair services in , or around London.
My Red Trashcan Jimmy from 2002 needs new front headlights panel welded in and mending of couple of small holes in the frame, mabe looking at some body mounts.
It hasn't failed MOTs due to rust yet, but at closer look they will find something sooner or later, so it needs to be done.
I had asked local garages, but they won't even look at a car when welding is required. One Polish mechanic I used to know who would take on any job like this can't be contacted, probably gone. Google isn't much of a help.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Are there any welders/ fabricators you could try?
tbf I've you've got the time, it might be worth having a crack at it yourself, I've done some patches on my chassis mounts and it wasn't too hard.

Somewhere in the Forum, if you search, you will come across a post I did a few years back giving the details of a young man with his own weld shop in Huntingdon who worked wonders on my Jimny. Unfortunately, he just could not keep his doors open with all the red tape and lack of Govt support for startups, and he has closed up shop. He would have been perfect for you (just in case you find my post)
