Armrest / Cupholder dilemma was created by dbarsby
Hi
I am thinking of adding an armrest (they typically seem to slot into the cup holders, however the Jimny was bought for mini adventures and therefore coffee is essential.
Has anyone added an arm rest and also additional cup holders or some other variation that’s gives both somewhere to rest my elbow and somewhere to put two cups of coffee?
edit: my Jimny is a 2007
Links and pics would be amazing if possible!

They also do a little tray that sits around the transfer lever, that has a cup holder in it, LOOK HERE
Martin used to sell the armrests in the shop, I have one and they are great, they bolt to the seat frame.

I have the tray and cup holder in my Gen 4, it’s much more use than the cup holder in the original centre console as it is further forwards and easier to reach. It holds my insulated mug or a can (of coke) really well.
There are a number of cup holders that go in the air vents, these might fit a Gen 3.

My gen3 armrest has a cupholder. Sadly it has too little support so the cup falls out. In addition I have a cupholder with welcro between the seats where I dont have a transfer lever.

You can buy from Compass Auto blindfolded.
All my aftermarket parts came from them, Akagi-san is a pleasure to deal with.
