This may seem like a silly question but I’m massively struggling with replacing the headlights on my 04 Jimny.
It seems like a straightforward task and I’m able to remove the rubber seal and unplug the cables that attach to the bulb, but then there is a metal clip that holds the headlight in place and I just can’t work out how to move that out the way to take out the current bulb and put the new one in.
I changed the bulbs on my 2011, it had the usual wire clip, you just compress to release,I don’t remember it been difficult.
However, I know what you mean, when it won’t come out and you can’t see how it is held in they can be a problem. One suggestion, always assuming someone doesn’t have a headlamp out of a car they could photograph, could you get your phone in to take a picture of the clip, you might be able to see how it comes out?

From memory, the metal spring string poking out that has a loop on it, press it in, slide it to the right (left?) and release. It should now go out and down.
Change bulb, press the spring in and hook ir back in.
There's a little wire spur at the bottom below the bulb. Press this and simultaneously push it to the left. It is now released. Next lift it up and left and it will pivot clear.
