I can't help but wonder what the mileage on that JB74 is that the steering box would need "adjusting to reduce play", sounds a little odd to me.

Moving on, I don't see any point in further speculation - spray it with degreaser, rinse it clean, and then take another look in a week/month, you'll be able to tell if it is in fact leaking.

I have the same issue. I am pretty sure it leaks an oil seal. Suzuki does not sell parts for the steering box what is weird. After digging, I have fount the oil seal from Toyota. It is the same oil seal as we have on Jimny. The part number is 90311-19001

I have the same issue. I am pretty sure it leaks an oil seal.

I haven't seen any pictures of "your leak", but the thread starter has quite a few of his, and I've taken the liberty of reposting one, if you look at it you'll realize that his leak is unlikely to be that seal, as all of the "leaked oil" is above the seal, there is none below.
