As long as your rubber hoses are original i would not be worried. After market cheap stuff from your Halfords or other car parts chains i would not trust. Our Norwegian (swedish) Biltema has very poor quality hoses and I would believe other similar chains around europe is the same.
If your hoses are made from chinesium they will deteriorate faster even without E10.

Many facebook groups that are more anti enviromental and in climate change denial go mental on this and most often they make a big storm in a glass of water.

I haven't checked this myself but i have seen photos of the SJ413 manual from the eighties saying 10% ethanol is ok.

All gen 3 Jimnys are fine on E10, its written on page 1-1 of the handbook. I've done about 10,000 miles on E10 in my 2003 and after an initial slight increase in economy (ethanol cleans things up a bit) everything has been normal.

Does it not say on a sticker on the inside of the fuel door that it's E10 compatible, mine does and so did my last Jimny.

Temeraire (2018 quasar grey automatic)
One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.

The press has blown this out of proportion. They would have you believe the vehicle will dissolve if you put in E10. E5 already contain upto 5%, so why panic about the additional 5% in E10.

I run all my vehicles on E10, the oldest born in 1960. Not seen any issues myself and I've kept a close eye on all items reported as potential issues. The 2CV petrol hose required changing as it had cracks, but on the outside, the inner core in contact with petrol was still OK. Was this E10 or just the fact it was old and it was time to change it?

Storage of E10 is the big issue in my opinion, but if the vehicle is used often this is not an issue.

Still running my Land rover without lead, another big problem back in the day.

Of course just my rant of the day, everyone should do what feels correct for them.

This might be on interest:

Seems that there is high chance of having way less than 10% ethanol in E10 fuel. Although this could depend on location and time of year.

It does highlight, that theoretically you could buy E10 with less ethanol in than E5. As both standards are 'up to' percentages.

I only put Esso E5 in my G4, it is a few chassis numbers after the fuel pump recall (which is rumoured to be because they used home market fuel pumps = zero ethanol, rather than Euro ones) and I don't do enough miles for the extra cost to be significant. Esso E5 is supposed to be zero ethanol.

The Other Car gets Tesco e5 (Momentum) it is only a few pence more than the E10, and most of that will be offset by higher mpg.

I'm with Scimike, as a low mileage user I don't want stale E10 in my tank.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

I got far less power (needed lower gears up every hill) in a Mazda CX-5 on E10. It didn't like it at all. Maybe if it had had a few tanks in succession, it would have calibrated itself.

Similarly, I have always had much lower mpg (10%) in Japanese cars from supermarket petrol. It didn't seem to bother European cars. There isn't any difference apart from a few additives, so this was surprising.

I stick to E5 except in emergencies, but I don't do a high mileage and fuel costs are small compared to eveything else associated with running a car.
