Hi all,

My Mrs had her Jimny stolen from dronfield in north east Derbyshire last night (29th) from the junction of leabrook road. There is a potential sighting at 9.30pm. I'm just getting the word out on the off chance that it appears online somewhere or someone has seen something. (Insert something something thieving scumbags)

Probably used by someone to get home after a night out.
Likely to have been dumped somewhere, hopefully it will get found intact.

Best of luck with the police and insurance. After my blue one went tracking devices were ordered.

I hope it turns up and in good condition.

It might be worth scanning eBay and social media to see if anyone is offering it for sale.

Thank you all for the kinds words.

EXCELLENT NEWS. It's now back on our drive. No thanks to the police though. Other than the electrics being ripped out to start it, it has no damage. I've decided I won't be buying a steering lock, It will just have a self destruct button so there is one less car thief in the world.

Great news, it’s back and not too much damage. I always thought the immobiliser was difficult to bypass, but it appears not.

Are gen 3’s becoming desirable for thieves? I have a 2011 and am about to move to Bristol and wondering if I should invest in some security.

I would if I were moving to a city, I certainly don't leave mine in Leeds with just the factory immobilizer and the tracking system.

I know 2 that have been stolen this year in the West Yorkshire area, it's certainly worth increasing security. I have a disklok & pedal lock on my Jimnys.
