Hi all,

Pleased to say have now managed to find a Jimny!  After seeing multiple different tired ones at the top end of the budget we bit the bullet and got a 2016 auto - came from a Suzuki dealer which was surprised at considering the age of it, but 12 months breakdown and warranty was a bonus - going for new tyres tomorrow, was on the original Bridgestone Dueller H/T which were cracked and showing age, a bit annoying when it had just been serviced and a "300 point check" didn't pick anything up, but was going to put some AT's on it anyway so not too much of a drama

Next on the list is a towbar - just need to research which one!  Some pics, drives like a  luxury car compared to my previous 2000 manual

Ooh another one just like mine, yay!

I have the towtrust fixed tow bar on mine, you only crack your knee on it once and you remember it's there, much better than the detachable type I had on my last one especially for touch parking in town!

Recently purchased a 2020 Jimny from a Suzuki dealer.  From my experience so far the 300 point check and warranty are as much use as a chocolate saucepan.

So far so good - so far have replaced the factory 1 DIN stereo (pioneer but no bluetooth) with another Pioneer that has bluetooth, external mic, spotify support e.t.c. - perfect match for the dash colours too

I've also put a wrap on the steering wheel (no idea how someone could trash it in only 20k!)

I've just fitted the towbar - thanks for the advice, though I went with a westfalia removable one as price was really good, fitting went well, still need to drill the side bolt in but electrical wiring is next on it

I think it also sticks out far enough to use my bike carrier on (something my 2000 one's towbar didn't enable) - will see!

Bit more fettling - installed a network radio (Zello - works over mobile/internet and no license required) and managed to find a spot to install with minimal impact when removed

Looking very nice, the Westfalia tow bar should work very well, it’s pretty much the same as my UR tow bar. The removable tow bars might not be as strong but at least you don’t smash your legs on it every time you go in the back when it’s not fitted, which for me is most of the time.
