Hi all
Recently got a Jimny with 2" body lift(measured the blocks),265/70/15 tires and suspension lift but can't work out what size the suspension lift is. Would anyone know how long the stock shocks are (fitted with the weight of the car on them) so I can measure the difference?

Easier to measure the distance from the edge of the fender flare (if it is the original ones) and to the center of the wheel?

It is a lot easier.
It's 16.5 inch rear and 17nch front, both sides, this is my standard 2009. Wheel center vertical to underside of plastic arch.
Use and abuse may change these figures car to car. I tow with ours so the rear end gets loaded every year, so a few more measurements from others, take the average and it's as close as you will get.

I've got no plastic lining inside the wings so measured from centre of wheels to underside of the metal arches. It measures 22.4 inches at front and 24 inches at the back. Take away your measurements and the 2 inch blocks I'm left with 5.5 inches at the front and 3.4 inches at the back. Not sure how much to allow for the thickness of the plastic arches but don't think it'll be more than half an inch. Either way it's too much. What do you think?

I'm not exactly sure of where you are measuring to. I have attached a picture that shows the dimension Yakusa is describing. It almost sounds as though you don't have the fender flares. When I was modifying my suspension I went to a dealership and took measurements which were nearly identical to what Scimike listed.
I guess my question is what are you trying to figure out? You were questioning stock suspension dimensions and mention 265/70r15 tires. Are you trying to determine if you can go to stock suspension with that tire size?

I meassured to the inside top of the wing, which is higher than what your photo shows. Shouldn't have mentioned the tire size as it's not relevant to my question. I'm trying to figure out how much the car is lifted so then I know what bits to change to bring the geometry back to where it should be. From what I see they only fitted longer brake lines and everything else apart from the shocks and springs is standard. As it is steering wheel is angled with the wheels straight and feels light when you drive. I've attached a photo of the car.

Thank you. I have 35 inches from centre of rear wheel to the bottom of the window. So what I have is 2" body and 2" suspension lift.

If it feels light on the steering wheel it sounds like it is missing caster correction. Can be fixed by changing the bushing in the front control arms to offset bushings with correction for the angles.From what I see they only fitted longer brake lines and everything else apart from the shocks and springs is standard.
