I've only got the standard Jimny alloys but a lot of people run Yokohoma geolanders. They're all terrain tyres but are 3 peak winter tyres too. No problems with the snow and bad weather up this end of the Peak District.

Yokohama Geolanders, Sony head unit, NAUTILUS Air Horn, DRL conversion, Rear cargo space, Elvis Bobblehead, transfer Guard, Indian hanging Elephant, Koni Heavy track dampers, Custom SS exhaust, Voodoo Doll, Adventure Rack with LED ight bar, vintage ERIBA caravan usually attached (yes it's slow)

Another vote for Yokohama geolander if they come in the size you want.
Run them in all summer and last winter, so come dry / rain / snow they are a great performer.
Can't really fault them so will be fitting again when the time arrives.

Looks like it's the Geolanders then! They are not expensive either, looks like around £85 each.

One of my customers has offered me five Jimny SZ5 wheels with Geolanders fitted, done under 10,000 miles.
Price is £800
Is this a deal? l can get five tyres fitted for £500. l am sure the wheels are well worth the extra but l would probably leave them on, so wouldn't really need five extra wheels.
I guess l could sell my existing wheels as single wheels/tyres, although not sure how much l would get for a single Jimny SZ5 wheel with standard tyre, £100?

Depends.
5 new Yokohomas are £400 off black circles. Is the 5 wheels worth an additional £400? Bearing in mind your essentially buying part-worn tyres too ..
What alloys are they? Or are they steelies?

I have Geolandars on the front of my Gen 3 and when the Bridgestone A/Ts on the rear need replacing I think it will be Geolandars on the rear. Mine are 205/70 R15.
I am thinking of a second set of wheels with may be Hankook Dynapro ATm for 3 or 4 months over winter, just a bit more aggressive tread pattern, then swap back to Geolandars, but not sure I will get round to it.

I also drive the Geolandars. They are good tires.
However, if you expect heavy winter conditions I would recommend going for dedicated winter tires. And there I would think any winter tire is better in winter conditions.

Just been checking the Yokohama web site and the A/T tyre ref. GO15 is not available in 195/80R15!
They do list 205/70R15 This is 25mm smaller in diameter.
" " " 215/70R15 " " 10mm " " "
" " " 215/75R15 " " 13mm Larger " " but is LT rated.
Any comments?
Roger

Yet another vote for the Geolandar G015, have been running 215/75R15 LT for the last 15000 miles, still look new.
They definitely do make the G015 in 195/80R15. I'll probably swap back to the stock size when my current ones wear out, to save a bit of weight.
