The Malta price for a Jimny LCV is euros22,500. That's around £19K.

That's what the list price is here in the U.K.

However the waiting list is full, so if you want one at the list price you face a wait of at least 18 months, if you can get a dealer to even put you on their list.

Most are refusing further orders, or selling their allocation of Jimnys at inflated prices.

The well known site then sells through British Car Auctions (BCA).

I thought the well known site that buys any car punted the good stuff out through their internet sales site that you see advertised on TV, and only the old stuff, and starship milers go through the auction.   The auction own both the buying site and the selling site, which is handy for them.

EDIT: Their sales site doesn't have any G4s, only G3s, and I suspect all of them are priced higher than retail when they were new

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

Looks like 2nd hand values have peaked. Mine got up to £26k a couple of months ago and has dropped back to £23.5k now.

I paid 6K for a 2017 Suzuki Baleno SZ5 auto 16500 miles, 12 months ago. Now selling for over 11k if you can find one as Suzuki gave the Baleno to Toyota for hibrid teck. It was the most reliable and spacious car in its class but didn't sell well. People buy a car for the badge not what it will cost them in the future.

Prices do seem to be falling to more sensible levels.

WBAC are now valuing our 2020 SZ5 at £25,500 down from over £28,000 last month.

Dealer prices are still high though, the cheapest SZ5 l could find was a 2018 at £26,000
