I've got the one for AT cars and really like it. Much simpler design but really well made.

lt looks a bit ugly, but seems to do the job,

l may fit one anyway and see if it's worthwhile.

Does it clear the floor mats ok? And do you find you catch it with your foot when using the clutch? There isn't a whole lot of room inboard of the clutch pedal.

Yes the footrest clears the floor mat with some patient adjustment.

No issue catching the clutch but I’d suggest those with big feet [>UK 10.5] or drive wearing wellies, may want to avoid.

Aesthetics are subjective so can’t comment on Lightning’s thoughts. I prefer aluminium pedals.

Is the foot position more comfortable for sustained driving/cruising? For me, yes.

This foot rest looks just the job to be honest.
I've put sound dampening and insulating foam in the foot well, so I find longer journeys leave my left foot searching for somewhere to rest. I've clocked up over 30K miles in 21months.
I've ordered one just now..only 2 left :)

It's a pity they don't have one for the accelerator on the 3.

The G3 has an accelerator foot rest, it's the carpet underneath it, essentially if you tow a lot.

The steel used to make the clutch pedal is easily bent so I created a kink to move the pedal tip to the right. It didn't need much, probably about 20 - 25mm but it enables me to rest my boot / trainer alongside the pedal but with easy movement to activate the it.

On my old subaru mv the wheel arch protruded into the foot well giving the perfect place to rest your foot and hold the accelerator at a given speed it was much less tiring on motorway driving. With Dreadnaught I have to tighten my Mags up to almost stop the circulation to my foot in order to support my ankle on anything over an hour. Might have a look at the weekend if something could be prototyped off the speaker cover.
