Why did you pay that much for such a small car?

l've got a customer who paid more than the cost of a new Jimny, for his wrist watch.

Compared to that, the Jimny seems a lot of metal (and plastic) for your money.

With any vehicle I don't focus on the purchase price - I always factor in what will the residual value be in 3 or 4 years time and is there likely to be customers wanting one? Two years into Jimny ownership and I'm not too worried about that initial purchase price and I don't expect the Jimny to lose me a lot of cash when I do sell it.

A nice thing for me is how long the Jimny models stay on the market. Heck, the previous one had an almost 20 year run.... Albeit with some minor mods....

Was this proof that the original design was right on target? Some companies never seem to get their designs correct and then offer continuous reworks, as warranty costs and negative customer feedback eats into profit margins.
