I'm not looking for the ride to be firmer, just 'better' (entirely subjective). I'd like more damping at lower frequency input, and less at high frequency (such as tarmac ridges and shallow holes). I'd initially at least put the Koni's on the vehicle in their 'out of the box' softest setting as that's the designed-for premium setting.

I'm no expert, but when I worked at Ford's Research and Engineering centre in Product Test we sometimes put Koni's on the test rig to use as a benchmark against proposed OEM shocks to establish the 'premium quality' response.

Related question please; Are the rear springs 'handed'? I see the nearside spring has a single purple spot on it, yet the driver's side has two orange paint spots?

I'm not planning on changing the springs..
