Lots of engines can take boost fine. Do you know any reason why the Jimny's won't?

I love modding vehicles. But I really can't see the point of doing this in the Jimny. The cost of doing this well and safely will be high. And the Jimny is plenty quick enough on road already. And such a setup would yield little or no gains off road.warrengti wrote: Hi all

To have a good chance of running some decent power it gets expensive....
A 1.6 swap is the cheapest for a reasonable increase in power....timing isn't optimal but entirely bearable.
The 1.6 can't take any boost as it's CR is too high to start with.....I had a turbo on a warn out 1.3....made good power but the inevitable has to happen lol.
Have a look @ Details of the outcome
Not to be discouraged I went crazier...Turbo one side Supercharger at the other.
It's a Nike job.....No point talking about it....just do it!
