WHITE LETTERING for BF Goodrich all terrain 215/75R15 was created by JimnyMalteser
Good afternoon.
I am interested in buying BF Goodrich all terrain 215/75R15 for my 2020 Jimny which I believe is the most popular hassle free size for the gen 4.
I was informed that these tyres do not come with the solid white lettering as for the R16 upwards. Would you please advise if you incurred the same problem and what is your suggestion for the best way to get around it.
Cheers

I can't help with if the tyres come with white lettering or not, but I assume if not you WANT white lettering?
You can get tyre pens so that you can highlight any lettering you want. I have never used such products so can't comment on how good they are.

I have used a product call "Mr Whitewalls" to create a set of whitewall tyres, I can report it's never cracked or given any issues long term, so I have no doubt that the letter product will be as good.
www.mrwhitewalls.com/product-page/tyre-l...ewall-touch-up-paint
The only thing to note is that they say the tyres must age, that is cover about 3000 miles before the product is applied. This is due to new tyres being high in "oils" (can't recall exactly the term they used) that can cause discoloration to the white. It's true, the only new tyre I white walled in the set went a light brown colour in use, requiring the product to be reapplied on this one to achieve white again. Don't know if this applies to the lettering product they sell, but worth checking if you don't want to repeat the process.
Results are only as good as your painting skills, so if you can't paint a straight line then maybe leave this route alone.
Sorry if I have misunderstood your request, but still valuable information if you want a set of retro white wall tyres on your Jimny.

Excellent link that Mr. Whitewalls, Scimike - thank you!
In a past life, long, long ago, I've used enamel paint such as Humbrol - not sure if that would do any long term damage to the tyre. I've also used a wax-type crayon but one that was specifically for tyres, but that constantly needed re-applying.
When I got my old '79 Midget back after a period of it being AWOL for some 18 years, the rubber mats still had most of the enamel paint that I'd done the logo some 30 plus years previously! The paint has gone slightly yellow although that doesn't show in the photo too much

I thought against painting them myself. I found a brand in THE U.S. that makes these rubber decals. Till now they seem to be the best option if a little expensive but they do give warranty at par to the lifetime of the tyre.
www.tirestickers.com/shop/bfgoodrich-tire-letters/
There are also cheaper variants but they seem to wear off

Wow! Pricey.
Check out Tredwear Letering I'm sure ive seen this in the UK at some show or other Ive been to. These are custom letters and fonts that are bonded onto the tyre I believe. You can have what you want
EDIT:
Try HERE for UK supplier - Im sure there will be others if you search
EDIT 2:
Similar stuff here
