Does gen 3 boot liner fit gen 4 was created by marbles
Hello - hopefully picking up a new Jimny next week.
I see I can buy a Suzuki flexible boot (trunk) liner for £180. (990E0-78R48-003)
Does anyone know how well a gen 3 liner might fit - hoping to save some money
Thanks

Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately not even close. With the seats down in a gen3 there's a 4 inch lip in the boot floor. On the gen4 it's completely flat with the seats down.

Yeah, looks like you'll have to splash out on a new liner. You'll get used to an empty wallet with the gen 4. More stuff coming out weekly now.
We're all skint here
Jokin aside, welcome to the forum, and congrats on the new jimny.
Andy.

If you're after a boot liner, you needn't buy the expensive plastic rigid type. The standard Gen. 4 rubber boot liner which is fully tailored and has a 1" lip around the perimeter is absolutely brilliant at the modest cost of £45 direct from Suzuki. It stops any sliding of large loads and protects the seat backs against damage. For Tip runs and 'mucky sundays', I bought a cheap 'Sakura' water-proof boot liner from Euro-car parts and it's absolutely brilliant!
It's worth noting that if you've bought a SZ5 with the optional boot storage lid fitted as standard, you would have to remove that in order to fit the rigid plastic boot liner. (Bit silly if you ask me)

Thanks for the tip - sadly I'd already ordered - the Suzuki boot liner should be arriving tomorrow.
Car arrived today though
