Helping a local guy to do this swap. I am having a hard time finding a how to and info on here that is more or less complete.
If someone is better at searching please link here.
have to do:
- adapter on the gearbox (my own design)
- oil pickup fix -weld job using the G13BB pipe with the G16 top end and flange.
- engine mount fix (right side is ok?) -weld job moving the mount 2.5cm on the g16
- bolts trickery as i have not sourced the outer ones at bottom gearbox flange. -weld or inserts or lathe job.
- reuse G13BB generator and pump brackets
- reuse G13BB water pipes
- reuse G13BB intake and exhaust manifold.
- use G16B injectors
- reuse G13BB engine wiring loom and ECU.
- doing the clutch and belts.
- removing oil filter angle mount, [strike]using original Suzuki stud.[/strike]
- Reuse the stud from the G13BB as the m13a stud is too short for the G16B.
blank off the crank sensor at the oil pan?
I thought that we did not have to swap the cam, correct?
anything else?

Its pretty detailed with pics in my thread. The cam can be used, check the amount of lugs on the trigger wheel/ring at the end. I swapped mine over from the 1,3 cam. Its all good if you set both engines at TDC and mark the ring.
I have also done this before with putting the 1,3 cam in the g16 head, no problem

Looking for a nice clean and straight LHD Jimny..... Not any more.
Got one that seems to have been magnatized and driven through the "Big Jimny Bits" parts stores too quickly so it missed a few items.

It would be nice to se a summarized thread of just the engine install here as you do it with help from MadsV thread & a link to it with the page numbers for a reference.

It would be great if those who have done it would write a guide in
this wiki article
