After a few miles the sloshing noise abated and that was that. Does standing water build up within the body and then drain out under movement? Zero sign of any water ingress to the interior - unlike our last Solihull produced 4X4. Your thoughts appreciated - especially from new Jimny owners.
I had exactly the same thing happen - I assumed it was snow melt in the roof gutters, but don't know for sure.
Well hopefully we both find out soon as I don't want to think that our new Jimnys have their lower body cavities filling up with a saline solution of rain, snow and rock salt.

Tonight I've been out in the very dark - up a farm track and have to report that the reversing light isn't up to much when reversing through an opening in a drystane dyke. Those of using your new Jimny in the countryside might want to consider adding an extra reversing lamp. Zero complaints about the front facing lighting - more than adequate for those exploring dark lanes after the street lighting has ended. Another distraction when manoeuvring in the pitch dark were reflections from the instrument binnacle and the touch screen panel in the side windows. Serious irritation when trying reverse using your mirrors and miss gateposts, the dyke and a few boulders on the verge. What continues to impress is the convenience and ease of use of the HR/LR 4WD mechanical lever - a true delight to use. Another discovery today was the joy of trying to synch to the two digital clocks on the dash - couldn't have been that difficult to design them to synch together rather than manually trying to do it by hand. Funny what you discover when using a vehicle for real and not just having a quick test drive around the block.
